Who we are
Kritivity Web Solutions Pvt. Ltd. runs the Cyber Guardians cyber-safety quiz. Contact us at cybersecurity@kritivity.com
What we collect
- To play: your first and last name, and an optional display name. Nothing else is required.
- Only if you ask for a certificate: your email address, and your mobile number if you choose to give it.
- Automatically: your answers, score and timing, and a one-way hash of your IP address used only to stop automated abuse. We do not store your IP address itself.
Why we collect it
Your name appears on the leaderboard and on your certificate. Your email is used to issue and verify that certificate, and — only if you ticked the consent box — to tell you about future cyber-safety sessions. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
Children and young people
Many participants are under 18. Nothing beyond a name is needed to take part, contact details are always optional, and we ask for a parent or guardian's permission before an under-18 shares them. We do not use children's data for advertising or behavioural tracking.
How it is protected
Email addresses and mobile numbers are encrypted in our database. Access is limited by role, so a school sees only its own students. Access to contact details is logged.
How long we keep it
Quiz results are kept for campaign reporting. Contact details are removed once they are no longer needed for the campaign, and you can ask us to remove them sooner.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (the DPDP Act) you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, and withdraw consent at any time. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Ask us to delete your details
If you gave us an email address for a certificate and you would like it removed, you can ask here. We will confirm it is really you before removing anything.
